Volunteering

This is the category of groups operating within the civil and civic field, understood here in the sense of the pursuit of the common good within the scope regarding specific portions of the community, in application of the natural right to help generally called subsidiarity.

"Civil tends to emphasize respect for autonomy, fairness, and a sense of justice" (civil rights). "Civic tends to be more mindful of the forging, through deliberative and communal activities, of a sense of common purpose" (civic duty).

It is defined natural law that which is inherent in the intrinsic nature of things, which as such comes before the more or less arbitrary rules defined by human beings.

Subsidiarity in the area of volunteering means that the first to have the natural right to help is the one who is closer to the one in need of help.
The purpose of explicitly stating such a natural principle is that it includes the right and duty to oppose those seeking to seize power.

The volunteers are the more meritorious among human beings, because of their own free will, without vested interests nor hidden agendas, at the most fundamental level, put in practice what is maybe the most fundamental quality that makes us human and life possible: helping.
