Let's get straight to the point, without beating about the bush:

In other words, this subject is SENIOR to ALL other subjects related to the causes of human problems.
Why?
Beings and things, intentions and instruments, aims and means: which are cause and which are effect?
Exactly.
It's never the hammer; it's always the hand that holds it.
It's never the instrument; it's always the intention.
It's never a thing; it's always a being.
It's true, the hand shapes the hammer: the more a hand holds the hammer, the more it bends it to its intention.
It is precisely for this reason that we must not play into the hands of Evil, by failing to distinguish the hand from the hammer, demonising the hammer and thus leaving it in the hands of Evil.
The subject known as "Investigations" deals with the identification of the "Real Why".
The reason why such a subject exists is that "the real why opens the door to a solution."
When you find out the car won't start because it's out of petrol, you just put petrol in it, and the car starts.
The hammer, the instrument, the thing are the WRONG whys; the REAL why is the hand, the intention, the being.
Always, without exception.
Acting based on the Real Why is decisive.
Acting based on a Wrong Why is not only useless: it is harmful.
When a person, a community, the Humanity are barking up the wrong tree, they "blame and thus harm an endless stream of wrong, innocent targets, thus acting as potential trouble sources themselves and creating further consequences they suffer from, while the real suppressives and key potential trouble sources always slip away undetected from under every wrong target, switching from the used up Trojan horse to the next Trojan horse they’ll exploit to keep on poisoning people’s existence and lead it to one disaster after the other." Furthermore, it is well known that instruments are neutral in themselves, and their effects depend on the intention with which they are used.
And it should be clear that you cannot win a war by abandoning the field to the enemy.
It should therefore be equally well known and clear that attacking the instrument has the further harmful consequence of:
a) depriving oneself of the positive potential of the instrument when used for good purposes, and
b) leaving the enemies of humanity free to monopolise it and use its potential for evil purposes.
Stating that our first duty and skill is handling suppressives and potential trouble sources, beings and intentions, and that this duty is senior to all the others, is no small thing.
We spent our whole history staring at the what and at the how.
Now we lifted our gaze, and we are looking the WHO straight in the face.
Shifting our gaze from the wrong whys to the real why is no small step ahead.
