Irresponsibility

For it to be obvious and intuitive that "being cause" and "being responsible", and "being effect" and "being irresponsible", are pairs of synonyms, one point must be made clear:

"The word ‘responsibility’ can be a sensitive one, because we are used to thinking of it as synonymous with ‘blame’.
They are not the same thing.
Blame is the burden of the harm caused. Responsibility is acknowledging of being cause.
Blame refers to a harm, and if the harm cannot be undone, there is no remedy for the blame: you are at a dead end.
Responsibility applies to everything, not just harm, and encourages one to explore what can be done: solutions and ways out.
Blame makes one effect; responsibility makes one cause.
When faced with blame, it is understandable to try to escape it: in reality, one is trying to be less of an effect, and ultimately, therefore, to be cause.
Faced with responsibility, knowing that it is the practical expression of being cause, one might naturally ask: how can I take on more responsibility and thus be more cause?
To think badly, one might suppose that the concept of guilt was invented by some suppressive to reverse responsibility, and turn a tool for growth and liberation into one of degradation and enslavement… Do you get that feeling too?"
