The foundation of Evil "divide et impera", divide and rule, is so well known and taken for granted that it is described in Wikipedia, and this exposes the shame of those who do not know it, or worse, pretend it does not exist.

"Divide and rule" has a less known but just as important variant: "confunde et impera", confound and rule.
"Divide and rule", combined with "confound and rule", provides a more complete view: "divide, confound and rule".
This is also known as the "Third Party Law": if a conflict arises between two or more parties, and the conflict cannot be resolved, regardless of any potential cause, the only real cause is always a hidden third party actively fomenting the conflict.
And the only solution is always for the parties in conflict to cooperate for the sole and specific purpose of finding evidence that exposes the third party.
This brings with it confronting a harsh truth:
Being subject to "divide, confound and rule", to "third party action", is a typical form of the loose cannon condition: "subject to a suppression and who can't do anything about it to fight back."
And the only way out has a requisite: having sufficient self-discipline not to give in to one's impulses to fight one another, artfully created by the third party, thereby playing into its hands, to focus solely on cooperating to unmask it.
