“We shall soon be in a world in which a man may be howled down for saying that two and two make four, in which furious party cries will be raised against anybody who says that cows have horns, in which people will persecute the heresy of calling a triangle a three-sided figure, and hang a man for maddening a mob with the news that grass is green.” Gilbert Keith Chesterton

We must be prepared for the fact that we will find ourselves forced to do something as incredible as the human capacity NOT to confront.
We must be prepared for the fact that we will find ourselves compelled to defend something as elemental as the relationship between cause and effect.
If there is one common ground between the material and non-material realms, it is the link between cause and effect: every effect has a cause.
We must be prepared to point out the hand wielding the hammer amidst a crowd that points at the hammer and gets nowhere.
That's the whole point:
"A further very important observation is that the source of suppression is always an individual, never an idea, a thing, a condition, or whatever else. As I previously said, things do not just happen, things are caused, and the ultimate causative factor are individuals: when someone is hammered like a nail, the intention is in the hand, not in the hammer. Consequently, when the oppression seems to trace back to an idea, a thing, a condition, or whatever else, the ensuing question is: who? Whose hand is handling the hammer, which someone is using that something to hammer someone else?"

Having learned that – though one should already know this instinctively – what one aims for reveals one’s good faith: if one wants to get somewhere, one aims for the hand; if, on the other hand, one is plain fool or playing fool, one aims for the hammer, whatever that "hammer" may be.
Intention is Cause. Period.
