Definitions:

Let's start by quoting verbatim from:
"So, first let's reverse out of the mud and get back on the road, and then, from there, let's put it in first gear and get going again, but this time on the tarmac!"
Let's continue by quoting verbatim from:
The Resurgence of Motoring Soul
"So let's call things by their proper name:
what they are doing, here as everywhere, is called suppression;
what we are doing, here, it's called: the resurgence of soul in motoring."
Restomod and retromod are the symbols of the resurgence of soul in motoring: the soul that was buried under the ashes of subsequent suppressive degeneration, brought back to life and even perfected with the subsequent genuine improvements. The best of yesterday plus the best of today, without the worst of either anymore.
As the motoring enthousiasts with their eyes open become increasingly numerous, the realisation of the point of restart and of this resurgence in motoring becomes less and less a fantasy and more and more a goal:
Let's go to the current managers
Of historic motoring brands
And let's kindly accompany them
To throw into the incinerator
The drawings and moulds
Of current models
And to retrieve in the archive
The drawings and moulds
Of iconic models
Thus saving, incidentally
The brands and the factories
By aligning them
To the Soul
To the Good
To Beauty
And to Passion
