Rewarding statistics up, disciplining statistics down.
It should be noted that already attention itself and its denial are one of the first forms of that: granting it reinvigorates, denying it disheartens.
Proof of that is that Evil uses it, and therefore knows it.
In order to avoid overlooking it, the difference should be emphasised in the way Good and Evil handle what they fight, indicated by the verb used:
Good disciplines the worse.
Evil punishes the better.
