Reconstruction of Politics

Politics: Polis + Ethics.
Polis (Greek): the community, the city, the citizenry.
Ethics: rules of conduct.
Dèmos (Greek): the people.
Crazìa (Greek): government.
Democracy: government by the people.

The difference between politics and community is very simple: both are about the community life of human beings and its organisation; whereas in community this organisation is implicit and informal, in politics it is made explicit and formalised.

Politics is made repugnant by criminals, and the more they're successful, the more they kill two birds with one stone: the more the citizen leaves politics to criminals, the more the criminals make politics repugnant; the more the citizen finds politics repugnant, the more he leaves it in the hands of the criminals. A vicious and diabolical spiral.

Democracy is the type of organisation of the community in which it is the people that govern themselves.
It is not perfect, but it is better than dictatorships anyway.
Applying the infinitely-valued logic, if on the one hand democracy can always improve towards more freedom, justice, honesty and benefit for all, on the other hand it can always worsen towards the aims of the enemies of Humanity, in measure with their destructive infiltrations in it.

We can define the gradation of infinite values between two extremes, positive and negative, applied to political representation, proxy rate.
The proxy rate is the amount of power delegated by the one concerned, the people, to third parties.
The lower the proxy rate, the more the people directly govern themselves; the higher the proxy rate, the more the people expose themselves to the risk of handing an increasing power over to third parties.
The existence of enemies of Humanity, always chasing after power to use against the people, makes this risk more real and more serious.

The reconstruction of politics, through the developlent and the exercise of social awareness, consists of decreasing the proxy rate and pushing it progressively, and maintaing it, towards more freedom, justice, honesty and benefit for all.

The foundation of any reconstruction of politics is therefore the reconsctruction and the upkeeping of the intention and of the competence to this end of the one concerned: the citizen.
